The Programme aims at promoting energy audits to as many Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) as possible, so that they obtain detailed knowledge of their energy consumption profile. They will also be informed on the prioritisation and planning of cost-effective, energy efficiency measures, which they can implement based on the suggestions included in the report of the energy auditor.
Funding is at 30% of the cost of the energy audit, with a maximum grant of €2.000 per SME.
It is expected that SMEs that undergo energy audits funded by the Support Programme, will implement energy efficiency measures proposed as a result of the audit by utilising other funding tools.
