Internal Control Unit

The Internal Control Unit supports and provides prompt information to the Minister and the Permanent Secretary, by submitting reports and making suggestions aimed at the proper, efficient and effective operation of the Ministry, as well as the achievement of its strategic goals.

The Unit also carries out administrative audits and monitors compliance with the recommendations of the Audit Office and the Internal Audit Service. Moreover, it engages in support activities that are mainly related to monitoring and verifying the effectiveness of internal control procedures, compliance to such procedures and risk management.
